We are honored to share that the Transplant Trekkers have been invited to unfurl the American flag before the sold-out match between Manchester United and Wrexham AFC on Tuesday, July 25 at 7:30pm. The event, held at Snapdragon Stadium, marks the first time these high-profile teams have played in San Diego.
Organ transplant is a cause close to the hearts of at least two men who were instrumental in bringing the game to San Diego: Manchester United legend Andy Cole, a kidney recipient, and Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego, a kidney donor.
This is an unprecedented opportunity to get the word out about Transplant Trekkers and the importance of organ transplant. We hope you’ll join us on the pitch and help us put transplant on the map!
